PIVOT Educational Programme
The aim of the programme will be to train and support teachers in using inclusive instructional practices
(e.g., teacher modelling, vocabulary prompts, social expectations for effective groupwork, scaffolded supports, task analysis) around wordless texts on themes of inclusion and diversity, as a way to enhance their students’ active participation and oral language development in inclusive upper primary classrooms. The primary focus is on students with diverse learning needs, who may present disabilities, or come from low-socioeconomic family and/or culturally and linguistically diverse background.
