EDEX – Educational Excellence Corporation Limited – The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is the largest university in Cyprus with over 14 thousand students, 300 full time faculty and 700 part time in a variety of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in education, social sciences, computer science, engineering, business, communications, and multimedia. 28% of its student population are non-Cypriots, something that makes it a multicultural institution where diversity and pluralism are valued.

Citizens In Power (CIP) is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organization from Cyprus that addresses the needs and demands of people through their involvement in social and civic life, by simultaneously providing them innovative material and free trainings related with a variety of fields, such as education (including on-line education), inclusion, entrepreneurship and business, culture, labour market and lifelong learning.

 

CIP mainly aims at the development of education, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning in Cyprus and abroad. To achieve these targets CIP has an ongoing collaboration with the leading universities, schools, NGOs and research organizations in Cyprus for the development of projects, trainings and educational material. CIP retains a valuable network of professional trainers and educational experts experienced in both formal and non-formal education.

UNSTPB_UPIT – Universitatea Națională de Știință și Tehnologie POLITEHNICA București, CENTRUL UNIVERSITAR PITEȘTI – is an educational and research institution, public and non-profit organization, which trains different kind

of specialists, especially in the humanitarian, social and political field. Its objectives are to provide high quality educational, training and research services in order to train specialists in different fields and to create an intellectual community accredited by national and international quality agencies. The areas in which the university is active and delivers services are: education & training; scientific & applicative research; guidance & counselling; professional orientation; international cooperation in different fields; publishing activities.

 

The universty was assessed and accredited by Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education(ARACIS) with all programs of undergraduate, master and doctoral school. The major interest for developing the higher education in Arges department focused on the generous educational offer and the opening of branches in some areas of interest in the region. Scientific research is one of the priorities of the university. This is carried on in modern research centers and laboratories, materialized in theoretical and practical results, assessed and awarded within national and international invention salons. The Institute operates 20 research centers, a business and a technology transfer incubator. Research is done on the basis of grants, projects earned in national and international competitions and contracts with the socio-economic environment

PHT – Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol- offers courses leading to a Bachelor and Master Degree in Education and teaching qualifications for Primary Schools, Apprenticeship Schools and Vocational Colleges and Secondary

Schools (in co-operation with the University of Innsbruck).

 

The PHT sees itself as a cosmopolitan educational campus for all pedagogical professional fields and stands for research- and practice-oriented education, advanced training and continuing education. It designs social spaces in a diversity-sensitive manner and is oriented towards “education for sustainable development” (PHT 2030 strategy). PHT has a very long experience in teacher education.

 

About twenty bachelor’s and master’s degree programs (EQF level 6 and 7) as well as four university training programs are available to future educators as full-time or part-time programs. Approximately 1000 students in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs study at the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol.

 

440 people are employed at PHT. The university management, teaching staff, administrative staff as well as management and teaching staff of the practical schools contribute to the success, innovation and continuous development of the quality of the university.

 

Furthermore, there are two integrated schools at the PHT (primary and middle school). In addition, the course of study for the teaching profession at vocational schools is organized on a dual basis, with all vocational schools in the state serving as practice schools.

Habilis – Habilis Monoprosopi IKE – is a center with a staff of 15 professionals (paid – full time/part time) providing treatment and remediation for children, adolescents and young adults with special educational and mental health needs.

 

Our center serves children and adolescents with a range of developmental and sensory deficits as well as mental health difficulties. We provide speech therapy, behavioral support, occupational therapy, educational remediation and counseling to individuals with special needs and their families.

 

Our experience places us at the center of an ecosystem of agencies and services with the individual at its center and operated according to an integrated model of service delivery

 

We are also active in research. Through our research and development branch we have been involved in a number of EU-funded projects as well as projects funded by Greek agencies and have developed extensive expertise in designing training materials, running applied research, assessment and training projects, defining user needs and designing materials and applications that are geared to the needs of children and adolescents with learning difficulties.

 

We have also been active in a number of projects adapting educational materials for children with developmental and cognitive disabilities, training individuals with Autism and/or with attention difficulties (ADHD).

 

Habilis has an excellent understanding of learning difficulties stemming from different causes (neurodevelopmental, social, linguistic, psychological) in the entire age span.
